What made you want to work in music?

I was lucky to be involved in music from a young age and was always intrigued by all the processes that go on behind the scenes. As a kid I’d spend time designing imaginary album artwork for fun and later got into playing around making music videos for my band at school. I’d say the main motivation lies in being able to help artists tell their stories and basically make sure that great music reaches as many ears as possible.

What’s your favourite album of all time?

It has to be Tricky’s Maxinquaye. It shows just how weird pop music can be while still being really catchy. The darkness and intensity that Tricky conjures up are totally absorbing and Martina Topley-Bird’s vocals tie everything together perfectly. Gutted that I was too young to listen to it back when it was released and sounded completely different to anything else out there.

What’s one piece of tech you couldn’t live without?

My Bluetooth earphones, purely because they’re the only thing that make going to the gym a tolerable experience. After a couple of incidents where I managed to get my headphone cord caught on the treadmill, they’ve been a lifesaver and are also incredibly convenient to carry around when you’ve not got much space.
